This is an authentic vintage Persian Luri rug hand-knotted in Persia. Woven with an all wool pile on a cotton foundation. Low pile, there is even wear on the pile, see photos, this rug is in very good condition.
Persian Luri (Lori) rugs are generally woven in or around the Zagros Mountains area of western Iran, by the Lurs. The Persian Luri rugs tend to depict geometric designs such as animal motifs and geometric patterns. These rugs are similar in design to Qashqai rugs and use a rich combination of traditional colors and usually range from 30 to 60 kpsi.
